Job Vacancy in International Sales

Sideways Film are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, pro-active and entrepreneurial Sales Executive.

We are seeking applicants with

• Experience in documentary or television sales worldwide, or in an adjacent industry -such as within markets / festivals, or production.
• A high degree of motivation and organisation skills, as the successful applicant will have a high degree of autonomy and will be expected to manage their own client base and workload effectively.
• Tenacity, initiative, enthusiasm and persistence. This is not an easy job and required grit and determination.

You will be responsible for sales and distribution within your territories, and as such will be expected to attend international markets including MIP TV, MIP COM, Sunnyside of the Doc and various other markets and festivals throughout the year.You will also meet occasionally with producers for acquisitions meetings, and will also take part in screening new documentaries and projects to assess whether they could be suitable for us. As such, we are looking for applicants with a passion for documentaries, who share our progressive values, and have an interest in world affairs.

Additional languages would be a bonus, and preference will be shown to applicants who can work alongside us in our Barcelona office.
